Our Story

EDS Education was created solely for the purpose of recreating and challenging the way private tuition is offered to students. We found through personal experience that the old model of similar ability and the same old “School style” experience was stagnant and did not help students make rapid progression leaps. We decided to challenge this mantra and from this came about EDS Education and our personal approach to every child’s Education.

Our vision is to become the top tutoring business in the country that is known for providing a very personalised, high-quality education to your child wherever they are maybe.

We are proud of where we have come from, working out of Oaks Park with our first 5 students to gaining the support of the community we serve and growing to 100+ students strong. We have only been able to grow so rapidly because parents trust us to provide the personalised care, quality learning materials and supportive tutors to every child who walks through our centres.

EDS Education Steps to Success

Personalised and Targeted Lessons

EDS Action Plan informs tutors about the pupil’s personalised workload for each lesson. Workload is divided between lessons in a way that allows pupils to progress incrementally and see results quickly, which fosters confidence and builds enthusiasm to keep going. The purpose of our work with pupils is to enhance their natural talents and interests while also addressing shortcomings and difficulties they might encounter at school. We recognise the key role of self-confidence and enthusiasm in effective learning. Rather than having our pupils compete against each other, we aim to create a safe and friendly environment in which children can freely bring forward their questions and have their problems with school workload properly addressed.

Regular Assessments

Each pupil undergoes a preliminary assessment which lasts between 1-2 hours and serves to indicate their individual predispositions and abilities. Assessments vary depending on pupil’s age and their reported requirements and may include e.g., Mathematics, English (grammar, reading and spelling). Assessments for 11+ programmes verify pupils’ reasoning and problem-solving skills. In addition, regular assessments are conducted every 6 weeks to monitor your child’s progress and adjust their workload appropriately.

Constant Feedback

Your child’s Action Plan includes communication for tutor, child and their parents. Each pupil receives regular feedback from their tutor regarding their progress and short-term goals. This step-by-step approach builds confidence and keeps your child involved in their own learning process.
